The Bryan County Board of Commissioners are constructing a new 4.0 MGD (future capacity of 8.0 MGD) Water Reclamation Facility to accommodate increased flow/population in the growing area just west of Savannah, Georgia. This Metaplant is considered one of the most significant investments in Georgia’s history.
As a part of the phase 1 portion of this project, Fluidyne provided three (3) approximately 60’ long Jet Mixing Headers in the 125’ diameter by 27’ maximum water level influent flow equalization tank. The jet mixing manifolds are fabricated out of 304 stainless steel including all in-basin piping, nozzle assemblies and supports. The jet mixing manifolds are located 120 degrees apart to provide complete mixing throughout the entire tank contents at all water depths of the 2.5 million gallon tank. Each jet mixing manifold is driven by an externally mounted 40 HP dry pit submersibe pump.
